Mindfulness Training The first step in healthy living is cleaning out the blocks of the psyche. Once this process has begun the light of awareness has started to be shone on the unseen. The next step is to embark on the journey beyond identification with the psyche - a place of being beyond thought, beyond emotion and beyond action.
Sometimes described as “the gap between thought” or one’s “true nature”, this sky-like place is unable to be touched by the passing clouds of everyday events. The true nature of one’s being is always here - you can not get it, you already have it. Its qualities are awareness (the clear mind of truth) and compassion (the open heart of love). How it is expressed is always different based on the colour and texture of your unique personality. This path of self-realisation is the final journey after which there is no more to do - just to be.
Teaching Method Meditation training is all about developing awareness by focusing on a single point. The teaching methods of meditation and present moment awareness will use various techniques and methods to assist in developing or strengthening each person’s skill in maintaining focused awareness. The habitual racing mind will be targeted by assisting people to access the gap between thought. Peoples’ emotional experience will be addressed by teaching “openness” methods to assist in allowing emotions to be authentically felt whilst they pass.
Self-Inquiry is a teaching method that speaks directly about one’s true nature. It is unique in that the teaching seeks to bring each person to a direct experience of the profound stillness and effortless contentment of their own being. Through personal direction or general discussion each person is assisted to open to the natural place of self-realisation - the awakened state of empty selflessness and full openness to the experience of life.
Everyone is welcome. People who want assistance on how to both quieten the mind and increase in emotional health and openness will be able to be worked with. People are also welcome to come and sit in the silence of being and be still.
